Learn how to use the new Compute Canada's cluster “Cedar” to further your own research!
This workshop will help you understand the basic architecture of Cedar’s file systems and software environments.
We will cover job submissions via SLURM scheduler, best practices for loading modules and creating user-specific environments. Introduce tools to predict required job resources (CPU, memory) and queue job wait times, as well as navigate options to get additional assistance.
Detailed list of prerequisites:
- Laptop and power cord
- Basic knowledge of Linux command line
- A SSH client for your computer (e.g PuTTY)
- Compute Canada account
