Meetings

Regularly Held Meetings

We aim to hold regular monthly meetings. You can catch up on anything you missed from previous meetings on the Updates and Past Meetings page. Additionally, you can find out more about upcoming meetings in the Events page.

Omics News: To start the meeting, we will try to quickly highlight some current or interesting Omics related news. If you have any suggestions, send us an email at sfu-omics-organizers@sfu.ca.

Omics Anonymous: Research can get quite frustrating! Especially with all the technical difficulties that arise from trying to handle tons of data from complicated biological systems. Come discuss the issues, technical or biological, that you have been facing recently. This is the time to get your frustrations out. The support from your peers will help you achieve your Omics goals.

Quick Talks: We will also feature quick talks during our meetings. These talks will highlight current research going on in the SFU community and will come from a variety of Omics related fields! If you feel up to the challenge of giving a talk or would like to suggest a talk that you want to hear, feel free to get in contact with our organizing members at sfu-omics-organizers@sfu.ca and let us know!

Workshops

We aim to provide Omics workshops with guest speakers to the SFU community. Any upcoming workshops will be posted in the Events page.
