Chocolate Chiffon Cake
Mangolia's Chocolate Cup Cakes These are pretty good. Way too much batter for 24 closer to 30. I made them without the buttercream and used half 2% milk and half heavy whipping cream.
Chocolate Pound Cake This one is a great recipe to use if you are making a structured cake. It is dense and delicious. Works well in Germany too! Quite easy to make.
Butter icing
Chocolate ganache
Biscuits (or cookies)
Rosemary butter cookies
Thin and Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies My favourite chocolate chip cookies.
Sweet Treats
Baked goods
Best buns I've made. No kneading required and the dough is supposed to be sticky! It's the first time sen ever, ever said the bread was good! A bit sweet for our liking, I'll put less sugar next time and more salt. Tried this with 2 cups whole wheat and 3 cups regular flour, turned out great. Brushed the tops with egg to give a shine and sprinkled sesame or poppy seeds on top.
Scones These are the best scones that I've made. I made double the dough in the late morning and kept it in the fridge and then baked half in the afternoon. The second batch was baked 2 days later and still tasted great. I added 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup dried chopped cranberries and they still turned out great, but you can't put much on them after that.
Banana muffins These have whole wheat flour in them and are great. They taste even lighter with just plain flour which was how I first made them.
