Mairead's Reflection:
Again for me this activity felt a little rushed - but only in the portion where I talked to them about the difference between the change in x being 3 versus 1. I think the reason I felt it was rushed was yet again I didn't have time to let them stew with it in the way that I would have liked - they got to the stage where they realized their mistake and then I "fixed" it for them. I didn't really want to do that but I was afraid that we would get to the end of class and then they wouldn't be able to get through the rest of the activity to finish before the review day. They seemed to get through the rest of it ok though and at least many of them realized that their model was not a good one. Need to stop rushing the good teachable moments though! I don't know why there seems to be no time this semester!
