Mairead's Reflection:
This really did not work well in my class this time - mainly because I allowed some students to finish 1.6 while others were working on 3.1 - this of course meant that the weakest students went home with 3.1 and did not do well with it. Also it was over a weekend where they were finishing 3 other activities as well - too overwhelming. In future I want to make sure that we all start this activity in class and can break to talk at the appropriate points about how we are moving to exponential notation and why that makes sense.
