Mairead's Reflection:
I was really happy with how this worked. I sent them away to finish 1-5 by themselves. Then as a class we completed number 6. Then they all got through Q7 (where they evaluate lin/exp and then work from their exp characterization) relatively easily and really understood I think how they were moving from y_n to y_n+1 in general - some needed a little help from me. We created the model as a class - although quite a few students had already gotten to this stage by themselves. We used the model to predict a little and then they had 5 mins in class to get started on the visualization and to finish the other questions. I will need to start the next class by talking about those and I will probably have some of the models ready to put into Mathematica to see how they look and then show how we can adjust right in Mathematica and check to see if we get a better model.
