Online Petition Launched to Oppose Development Near Wetlands

Neighbors of the Roslindale Wetlands Urban Wild are collecting signatures on a petition to voice their opposition to a proposed development adjacent to the wetlands behind 104 Walter Street.
Urging the city to adhere to its commitment from 2005, the petition voices the neighbors' desire to protect the Roslindale Wetlands and to keep these adjacent parcels as open space. The wetlands are a haven for wildlife including dozens of bird species, and many local residents enjoy walking along the perimeter trail. The area also serves to collect rainwater runoff from the whole neighborhood, providing a safeguard against flood damage to nearby homes.
