April 6 tree planting

You are invited to join us for a Serve & Learn event to plant native trees and shrubs in the Roslindale Wetlands Urban Wild.

Saturday, April 6, 9:00-12:00
At the Coniston Road entrance to the Roslindale Wetlands, between 25 and 35 Coniston Road

Boston Urban Wilds staff will lead the way, first providing instructions and training on how to plant trees, then leading an effort to reintroduce native species of trees and shrubs. This follows and builds upon a two-year city-funded ecological restoration effort to remove invasive plants, extend the trail, and establish new entrances to this natural area.

Please come dressed for outdoor work, including long sleeves, sturdy shoes or boots, and work gloves. Mosquito repellent is recommended. Families with children are welcome.

Please let us know you're coming so we can be prepared with the right amount of tools and supplies:

The trees will be purchased with funds raised through the Roslindale Wetlands Tree Fund. Additional funds are needed to reach our $6,000 goal.
