Water, water everywhere!

The recent heavy rains demonstrated for us why it's called the "wet" lands -- the view from houses on Coniston Road looked like a lake from one side of the clearing to the other -- in fact, with the strong winds, it even looked like there were waves! Neighbors were glad to have the wetlands there to act as a natural sponge and absorb much of the runoff from higher ground and streets as the rain kept pouring down. Interestingly, about 5 year ago when developers were looking at building in that clearing area, their plans outlined a 100-year storm flood boundary -- but this flood far exceeded that!
