West Wood to Sparsholt Circle (4 miles)

We started from the car park at SU 421 292 and walked down the hill into the woods. We then turned right and followed the route of the Roman road east until we came to a gate on the edge of the road. We turned left and followed the bridle path north east until we met the road.

Half way along the track the paths split 5 ways. We ignored the main tracks and followed the one that looks like a tunnel through the trees. From here on we turned right at the end and then crossed the Sparholt road. There was a small car park at this point.

About 200m along this track was a footpath on the right heading south east. We took this route across a field and up the hill. When we came the trees, we turned left and followed another tunnel of trees, turning right onto the bridle path at the end. 

We followed the road south west, past a house with a walled garden and took the first path on the right into the woods. From here we kept on through the woods until we found the car park.
