COVID19

March 29, 2020 marks the date that I officially launched the ROJDonors -MuReilief-HelpThru Against COVID19 for Rural Health Units / Provincial Government Hospitals in the entire Philippines.

We identified 79 MU Relief Coordinators throughout the Philippines to which we would provide around P50K worth of Personal Protective Equipment to be used by their respective frontliners. The goal is: NO medical frontliners would die of COVID19 in the service of the Filipino patients.

As of June 30, 2020, 3 months after, 73 out of 79 Mu Relief Coordinators have acknowledged receipt of the PPEs. The remaining 6 are in transit or have received their PPEs but no acknowledgement yet. It took us this long (3 months) because of transportation difficulty associated with the lockdown.

Initially, I thought / worried our PPE donations would arrive late, especially in the provinces, to the point they would not be of benefit anymore. However, I found out the delayed arrival was still useful as the cases in the provinces are increasing just now.

We have officially closed the campaign for donations of PPEs after we have identified the 79 MU Relief Coordinators (at least one RHU or Provincial Government Hospital in all the provinces in the Philippines except Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao Region). We are just waiting for all the Mu Relief Coordinators whom we promised to give PPEs to receive their supply.

Starting July 1, 2020, we will be officially launching the Innovative Practice Awards for the Mu Relief Coordinators. They are enjoined to submit papers to the Awards and can receive cash awards [P75K (1st) - P50K (2nd) - P25K (3rd)] for their innovative practices against COVID19. The deadline for submission is on July 15, 2020.
