On behalf of the HelpThru community, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to our partners, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and all those who have been so generous in helping us in our campaign on the fight against COVID-19. We didn't expect that a tiny idea born out of a late night group chat among 3 acquaintances would spark such a movement as HelpThru. It was March 15 when we thought about just simply raising funds and sourcing supplies to help our frontliners have a fighting chance to win the battle - this was the day just right before the government declared a strict lockdown in Metro Manila. I still remember everything so vividly as if it happened just last night. To all those who have been so generous in giving their time, effort, and resources to commiting to the cause, we cannot thank you enough. You are our TRUE HEROES. HelpThru would not have been so successful without YOU. So again, our most sincere appreciation and thanks. It is very heartwarming to know that people, whether rich or poor, young or old, struggling or not, near or far, have committed themselves to our very cause. This is the reason why, bleak as it may seem, I am still calm and confident enough to hope, pray, and fight for a better future for all of us. A special and a very big thank you goes to Dr. Reynaldo Joson for being such a wonderful mentor full of energy and wisdom and for really hand-holding us every step of the way and even keeping us alive in the wee hours of the night or shall I dare say until the wee hours of the morning. Thank you Dr. Joson, you are truly our light in the darkness. As we officially sign off, I genuinely hope that all of you may always continue to be a blessing to the community. In closing, please allow me to offer you a short blessing by John O'Donohue, a poet and a philosopher: May you always live each day compassionate of heart, clear in word, gracious in awareness, courageous in thought, generous in love. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the video that we've prepared for you. Rochelle H. Dañguilan
