All health care institutions should monitor and report the status of their health care providers or workers.
Health care institutions include the rural health units, infirmaries, and hospitals (different levels - 1,2, and 3 - and both government and private).
Below are examples of monitoring and reporting.
Monitoring and reporting the status of the health care workers in one's institution are important in planning, implementing and evaluation of plans in the control of COVID19 (a plan that simultaneously includes management and prevention of COVID19 infection among patients and health care workers).
Some issues that may be discerned from the monitoring and reporting:
1. How many health care workers are infected? How many have died? How many are quarantined and isolated?
2. Is the institution providing enough PPE?
3. Is the institution's health care workers properly using PPE?
4. Is the institution's health care workers effectively and efficiently protecting themselves from COVID19?
