Rabinandan's 12th anniversary was marked by a program at Shishir Mancha in Kolkata. Debjani Majumdar directed the presentation and Suresh Chandra Majumdar was the main organizer. The program began with a talk by the acclaimed poet and philosopher of Bengali literature, Shri Alok Ranjan Dasgupta. He spoke on the significance of Tagore's work in today's world. His talk was highly received by the audience and press reviews.
For the first segment, the acclaimed elocutionist, Jagannath Basu, joined Debjani Majumdar to render the touching story of Koch-O-Debjani. The Dainik Statesman report mentions that the pair delivered the perfect combination of emotion and expression required for this piece of drama.
The second segment presented Bhanu Singher Podaboli by members of Rabinandan. Esha Mitra and Jayati Ghosh were present as guest artists. The background script was jointly read by Jagannath Basu and Debjani Majumdar. The segment featured such rarely heard pieces as Ogo shono ke bajaye (sung by Malini Ganguly), Bajao re mohan-o baanshi (sung by Esha Mitra) and Aaji aankhi juralo (sung by Jayati Ghosh). The event was covered by several press entities. The group songs Hridayaka shaad mishaolo hridaye and Shaon-o gagan-e ghor ghana-ghata get special mention in the Dainik Statesman review.
