Enchanting a stone for luck in 3 steps:

Enchanting a stone for luck in 3 steps:

1. Merge your awareness with the stone

2. Say your enchantment (Out Loud).

3. Give the stone a new identity as an enchanted stone.

Let’s break this down.

Step one. Merge your awareness with the stone. This means clear your mind and focus your awareness on the stone until you can understand how you and the stone are one. This can be hard to do at first even if are good at meditating so let me tell you a little trick to use to learn to do this.

The secret is contemplation meditation. In normal meditation you clear your mind and think of nothing. In this case you think of nothing but the stone. I used to do it like this…

I look at the stone and consider why it looks the way it does (You can tell a lot about a stone by the way it looks). I consider how it is that this stone came into my possession and imagine some of the many possible histories of the stone.

If you do that for a while and are able to keep your attention focused on the stone you’ll soon hit a point where you and the stone become one.

Step 2. Say your enchantment. Once you merge with the stone you say your enchantment. Your enchantment is a short phrase that you say out loud. You use it, in this case to add the force of luck to the identity of the stone. It’s best to chose the words for the enchantment yourself. It can be hard to make an enchantment so let me tell you a little trick…

The goal is to make an enchantment that is short, concise and heartfelt so plan on spending some time on it and start by writing something down. It doesn’t matter too much what you write down at first because you’re just going to revise it over and over again until you get to the point where you can honestly say, “This is the best I can do.” If you do this your enchantment will be beautiful. It should be something like…

“The force of nature flows through me as I imbue this stone with nature’s luck.”

Then memorize your enchantment and read it over and over until the words flow effortlessly through your mind. Practice saying it out loud for a while before you actually use it to enchant something.

Step 3. Give the stone a new identity as an enchanted stone. This part is really just realizing that the stone is different now than it was before and declaring it. This is just something you do to end the enchantment. You just say something like, “This is now an enchanted stone.”

Notes:

An object enchanted for luck works best if the possessor knows the object is enchanted for luck.

An object enchanted for luck usually works best if it is a gift and not purchased (I don't remember why but it has something to do with the effect of greed on the charm).

An object enchanted with luck will not usually work for the enchanter for that object.

Observing an enchanted object will usually evoke the desire to possess the enchanted object.

The object you chose to enchant is kind of important and it doesn’t have to be a stone. It can be anything dense. An old coin is a good thing to enchant because it has a noticeable history that gives it a greater identity to begin with. A stone that is polished has a solid identity to begin with because it’s been distinguished from ordinary stone by being polished and cared for.
