Courtyard / The Avenue

We are most lucky to have a private outdoor space owned by the association. You are welcome to use the space as you wish. Please remember to clean up any food after eating, so as not to attract rats. Also please be considerate and do not litter in any capacity on Primus Avenue or the courtyard. This includes cigarette butts that should be disposed up in an ashtray.

Regarding grilling, a gas grill or charcoal grill may be used on our common area. The grills that are in the courtyard are useable by everyone.

Bikes are not allowed to be locked to the horseposts or anywhere else on Primus Avenue.

Courtyard Sign-up Sheet

As the courtyard is becoming more user-friendly, the trustees have created a sign-up sheet for reserving the courtyard to prevent double booking. This is only necessary if you require the courtyard for a private party/cookout/etc. and not necessary for general use. The sign-up sheet is located on the table in the Primus 1 foyer.

Courtyard Night-time Hours

To balance the interests of those using the courtyard and those residents who live in units that face the courtyard, the trustees have set up hours for usage. Sunday through Thursday we ask that courtyard usage finish at 10PM, and Friday and Saturday courtyard usage finish at midnight. Any quiet usage such as enjoying the evening, smoking a cigar, etc. feel free to stay out all night.

Summer Noise in Courtyard and Beyond

Although it may not seem like a lot of noise, voices bounce off the walls and carry very far on Primus Avenue. This is exacerbated in the summer as residents often have their windows open due to the hot weather. This noise effect also exists for units with windows opening onto air or light shafts. Please be mindful if you have your windows open and are talking / partying at night.
