In 1969, when P. Ballantine & Sons was sold to Investors Funding, Inc., the brewery was still operated distribution centers in Connecticut (3), Maryland (2), New York (2) and one in New Jersey, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C.

After buying the P. Ballantine & Sons' brands, Falstaff opened a wholesale distribution center in North Bergen NJ, 12 miles north of the brewery, to distribute the Ballantine and Falstaff brands in North Jersey and New York City.

Originally they claimed it would employ approximately 600 former Ballantine workers. The center closed in 1975 after Falstaff was sold to Kalmanovitz's S& P Corp. At that time, 140 workers lost their jobs.
