GP Trainee Absence: NEW (Jan 2021): From 1st Feb 2021 doctors need to report their absence through the new AMS(Absence Management System) by calling 03308084491. They will need to have their employee number (which can be found on their payslip) to hand as it is used to find them on the system. The exception to this is any GPST doctors as they are not directly employed by the trust. They will need to let the Support Manager for their area know they are absent.
Patient Satisfaction Surveys
The trainee should print off a form (from their RCGP Eportfolio – not the GMC site) that clearly shows his/her name & GMC number from eportfolio, ideally so that all 11 questions appear on one sheet of paper (we should not accept them without the identification)
He/she prints/copies the form 45/50 copies (50 would be ideal)
Leaves them with reception to hand to patients for completion and return to reception before they leave
PSQ forms are not seen/handled by trainee
When 45/50 are collected they are parcelled up and sent through to programme office for uploading – as long as parcelled up they can be hand delivered by a trainee coming for teaching
We have to have 40 to upload as a batch. We ask for 50 to allow for those that are not correctly completed as they are ‘duds’. Once trainees have left the practice if they prove to be short of PSQs it is likely that the whole batch is no use
