In order to better to support our GP practices and patients one of our Consultant Haematologists developed this guidance which should be utilised to help support assessments. This comprehensive information will then help streamline referrals to ensure patient care is not compromised.
The main purpose of this guidance will help practitioners within primary care to be better able to identify when a patient needs to be referred to an acute outpatient appointment or if a different course of action needs to be undertaken. By utilising this guidance, it will ensure we can prioritise maintaining an overall service.
