In the Event of a False Alarm
If you set off the Alarm by mistake please take the following actions immediately:
Telephone the Monitoring Station on 0871 246 0080 (This number is on a sticker above the security keypad at the back door).
Tell them you have activated the alarm in error and the password to confirm you are a member of staff is available from Amanda Keuneman, Reception Manager, or Lisa Baldwin, Practice Manager. (Do not write this password on the sticker or anywhere near the door).
Telephone the Police Switch Board on ‘101’ and inform them that you have set off the ‘Parkside Medical Centre Security Alarm’ by mistake and informed the Monitoring station who will be confirming a false alarm.
If you are not sure of this procedure please ask.

In the Event of a Fire
The Fire Assembly Point is at the End of the Patient Car Park
In order to safeguard the safety of employees in case of a fire the routes to emergency exits from work places and exits themselves are to be kept clear at all times.
Escape routes from the Practice are as follows:
Main Entrance/Exit
Staff Entrance/Exit
Pharmacy Entrance/Exit
Nurse’s Waiting Area Entrance/Exit
Surgical Centre/Theatre Entrance/Exit
Theatre Stairs Exit (Leading to clinical waste bins)
