Summer Band/Orchestra music teacher needed in the Belfast area. The Penobscot Bay Orchestra, Camden, Maine, is hiring a music teacher to help develop and lead a summer band/orchestra program. As a summer outreach “music camp”, the Orchestra is interested in someone to lead a youth music program for 10 - 15 hours. Depending on the availability of the teacher, this could be a 2-week daily program or spread out over several weeks. Targeted audience would be students who have had at least one year on their instrument, perhaps grades 6 to 9, but negotiable. Possibility to co-teach/job share. Elementary Music Teacher
RSU 1 seeks an experienced Elementary Music Teacher for Dike-Newell School/Phippsburg Elementary School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching general music classes to grades PK-5, as well as instilling a love of music and creating a joyful learning environment. Familiarity with the Maine Learning Results for elementary music, is preferred.
Qualifications:
Strong classroom management skills
Effective communication skills
Strong collaboration skills and a proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Music Teaching Certificate, K-12 (614)
Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
