Margarita was always a creative and innovative person in her private and professional activities.

This is why she was awarded prizes for her innovative projects on two occasions (2009 and 2013) during her time with Solvay.

In 2009, while she was working in Solvay U.S.A., she received the trophy shown in the photo which can be seen here.

We found this award, of which Margarita had never spoken to us, when we went to collect her belongings from the flat in Milan.

Breakthrough innovation

Very recently (14 months after her death) Margarita was awarded this Breakthrough Innovation prize as co-leader of a team in the GBU Specialty Polymers (Solvay).

The trophy was presented to her parents during a visit to the Solvay headquarters in Bollate, Milan, Italy at the end of October 2013.
