Assembly, boxing and conclusion

Assembly:

The perfboard have been cut on one side at the dimension of the NA02-TS12 power supply. everything position sold and connected with copper wire.

The LDR is connected with 2 cables to the perboard to be able to be fixed on one side of the box. Same thing for the 2 Led which will be fixed on the top of the box.

Must take note of the polarity of the Led which in my case was the bottom of the small printed scissor.

I use the cut leg of the components as wiring cable.

Boxing:

With Sketchup i have designed a small box to be fixed under the last step of the stair.

The box is made from two part. A bottom part with the screw hole to fixe the box under the stair and a hole to fit the LDR.

The top part with a rectangular hole to fit the Led and a front access to the 2P 5mm connector.

The box have then been printed on my prusa i3 rework printer in black PLA plastic.

The perfboard, the LDR and the LED have been hot glued in position. To fix the top cover to the box i weld them with a piece of pla filament and my dremel tool and i friction weld them

Conclusion:

I have made 10 of them and it work pretty well.

The consumption of one module is 35 ma when the light condition is dark and the led fully bright. that's a power of 0.42W.

half of the LDR didn't have the same characteristic as described in the datasheet so i have to tweak the value resistor R5.

The best option would have been to use a small potentiometer of 1 m Ohm and adjust it when the circuit assembled. Instead i breadboard the components before assembly to establish the proper value of R5.
