Everything fit in a old router casing, i just need to drill a hole on the top of the casing to pass the IR receiver.
I try to power the Raspberry directly from the USB output of the Samsung TV but i had the rainbow square on the top right corner indicating a low power voltage supply, so i stick to my original plan by powering the raspberry form a 2A 5V USB power supply.
It as been said and said again and again on different raspberry forum on the net, the power supply of the the raspberry is really crucial. i have try many different one before finding the one fitting my setup. They could have integrated a better voltage regulator solution that's allow us a wider range of power supply.
Except that i'm very happy with my first raspberry project and with my plex media server solution.
I can now start to watch a movie on my Linux server in my room and then resume the watching in the bathroom on my android to finish it on the big screen TV in the library room.
As was saying one of my mentor "Jerome bonaldi" "C'est absolument inutile donc tout a fait indispensable" which can be roughly translated by "It is absolutely unnecessary therefore quite essential."
