In your journal please respond in two or three sentences to each of the following 6 questions. Your answers should cover the high ropes elements section of our course which ran from May 14-MAy 29th

Directions: Throughout the Adventure Education unit, you will be required to respond to four Journal Entries. One entry must be from each of the three sub-units: TeamBuilding and Initiatives, Low Elements, and High Elements. The last entry may be from an activity of your choice, but must be completed by the required due date. Refer to the rubric on the back for grading information.

1. What was your very first reaction, when the activity was described?

2. What was the activity and what role did you play in it? (i.e. leader contributor, problem solver, listener .....)

3. What were the contributing factors for you in choosing to take this role?

4. Were there any conflicts in your group and how did you resolve them? (If not, why do you think things ran so smoothly?)

5. What did you learn about yourself or the group in participating in this activity?

6. Give an example of how you could use the skills that you learned from this activity in your everyday life.

20: Demonstrates complete thought and understanding of the concept and/or skill for the activity and how it applies to everyday life. Specific examples from the activities are used to relate concepts.

16: Demonstrates some thought and understanding of the concept and/or skill and how it applies to everyday life. Generic examples from the activities are used to relate concepts.

12: Demonstrates vague understanding of the concept and/or skill. Gives few details and no examples are given. Application to real life situation is weak.

8: Does not demonstrate understanding of the concept and/or skill. Cannot apply to daily life or apply in class.

0: Did not complete the journal assignment.
