Online Live Concerts SEP 2020

Dear Patrons,

We have two concerts planned for September and please plan to join us and encourage the artists as well as enjoy the concerts.

Nila Rajesh (Vocal)

Nila Rajesh has been learning the intricacies of Carnatic vocal music for the past 7 years from Smt. Anu Suresh and Smt. Manasa Suresh at Shruthi Swara Laya, an Indian fine arts institution in the Bay Area. Over these years, Nila has performed extensively and achieved numerous awards and accolades at several vocal competitions.

Nila has also been repeatedly invited to perform at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana for the past five years in a variety of programs including but not limited to Papanasam Sivan Programs, Thamizhum Isaiyum, Madhura Rakthi and the Sustaining Sampradaya program. She recently won the ACTA Apprenticeship Grant and has been learning Vedanayam Pillai's work as part of this grant.

Shriya Krishnan (Vocal)

Shriya Krishnan has been learning Carnatic music from Dr.Shri Shiv Kumar Bhat for the past 4 and half years. Previously she learned from Smt. Nandini Ramamurthi.

She is also learning Bharatanatyam from Smt.Sudha Krishnan and Veena from Smt.Vasanthi Narasimhan. She has been performing at CCC Bay Area,TriValley Music circle (TVMC) etc. She has participated in competitions and won prizes.

Shriya is a sophomore at Dublin High School. Her hobbies include reading, drawing and baking. She is teaching herself Japanese and likes to run

Deeksha Venkateswaran (Violin)

Deeksha is Learning Violin under the esteemed guidance of Vidushi H.M. Smitha. She also learns vocal from Vidwan Sri Kolkatta Vijayaraghavan.

Deeksha regularly accompanies for many Bay area schools and events, She is a sophomore at Milpitas High School.

Ramanan Ganesan (Mridangam)

Ramanan has been learning Mridangam from Sri. Natarajan Srinivasan at Nandi Laya Vidyalaya for the past 4 years. He previously learned Mridangam from Sri. Balaji Mahadevan.

Ramanan is a junior at Mountain House High School, Mountain House, CA. Ramanan has been performing at various bay area venues including CCC, Rasamanjari, Nada Sudha house concerts and Gnanananda Seva Samajam Sampradaya Bhajans.

Ramanan loves reading books and playing basketball. He has a 1st degree black belt in Karate.
