Uma Lakshminarayan (Vocal)
Uma Lakshminarayan is a Freshman at Irvington High School in Fremont. She started learning Carnatic music at the age of five from Shrimathi. Latha Sriram and regularly performed as part of her group in Sri. Lalitha Gana Vidyalaya's annual concerts and at Badrikashrama during Rama Navami festivals. As a Junior High student she performed in her school's Advanced Choir and was part of the Honor Choir that won first place against All State Junior High Choirs two years in a row. She also received the Best Student award for her graduating Advanced Choir Junior High Class of 2011. She is now continuing her Carnatic music training with Shri. Hari Devanath and has performed in Sri Paduka's annual Spring and Fall concerts with her group. More recently in December of 2011 she had the opportunity to sing songs for His Holiness Sri. Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchipuram and received His Blessings. This will be Uma's first full-length Carnatic music solo performance and she seeks your blessings in her musical endeavors.
Vignesh Thyagarajan (Violin)
Vignesh Thyagarajan started learning Carnatic vocal and violin at the age of 5 with his mother, Smt. Rama Thyagarajan and continued his learning with Smt. Susheela Narasimhan. Vignesh is currently under the tutelage of his uncle Vidwan Shri. Delhi P. Sunderrajan. Vignesh performed as a soloist for several Bay Area organizations such as LOTUS, DheemTana and the SwaraLahari local TV community channel. He also played the violin as an accompanying artist for the students of Shri. Neyveli Santhanagopalan during the IMPART 25 USA program in 2010 and for several dance ballet performances, Tala Vadya Kutcheris and for Margazhi MahaUtsavam. Vignesh regularly accompanies the bay area music schools' performing artists and the Carnatic Chamber Concerts. Vignesh learns western violin through private lessons and he is in the Intermediate String Orchestra at California Youth Symphony (CYS).
Chinmai Raman (Mridangam)
Chinmai, a Senior at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, is a disciple of Shri. Thiruvarur Bakthavatsalam. Chinmai has accompanied talented students from several music schools as well as senior musicians at different venues across California. He has performed at Stanford Radio, Swaralahari TV, LOTUS and Nandalala mission programs. He is part of an instrumental Band, CMIE that has given several performances in the Bay Area. He is also part of the Pallavi band that raises funds for various charitable causes. Chinmai learns vocal music from Shri. Hari Devanath.

Ashwin Srikant (Vocal)
Ashwin started learning music at the age of 4 from Sri. Mohan Ayyar and Smt. Sangeetha Ayyar in Sydney. In the US, Ashwin continued his music education under Smt. Hema Sista, a disciple of Dr. M.L.Vasanthakumari and founder of the Sangithalaya School of Music. Currently, he learns from Smt. Charumathi Ramachandran, the senior most disciple of Dr. MLV. Ashwin has given vocal concerts in several Bay Area venues, Sydney and in India. He has also competed in several regional and national music competitions, like the Cleveland Thygaraja Aradhana, Papanasam Sivan and OSAAT competition and won awards for krithi rendition, kalpana swarams and junior pallavi. Ashwin is part of the Science Olympiad team and the Junior Varsity tennis team. He also plays the euphonium in the school band. He has an avid passion for both cricket and tennis, as well as for Carnatic and Western music. Ashwin Srikant is a 10th grader at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA.
Sruti Sarathy (Violin)
Sruti Sarathy has been learning Carnatic music, both vocal and violin, from Smt. Anuradha Sridhar, daughter and disciple of Lalgudi Srimathi Brahmanandam, since 2001. She has won several prizes in competitions including the prestigious Tambura prize in the Concert Competition and the Advanced Pallavi Competition from the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana. She was a finalist in the Carnatic Idol USA held in 2011. Sruti has given vocal, violin and accompaniment concerts in the Bay Area, San Diego, Cleveland, North Carolina, Chicago and Chennai.
Gopal Ravindhran (Mridangam)
Gopal Ravindhran has been under the tutelage of Sri Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan for the past 9 years. In addition, he has attended special sessions with Sri Neyveli Narayanan. Gopal has been a sought after accompanist for various musical schools in Bay Area and has been performing regularly in Chennai for the past couple of years. He has also been a active performer in his Guru, Ravi's school, Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts. He has won several prizes in competitions conducted in the bay area, Chicago and Cleveland. In 2009 he had his Mrudangam Arangetram , accompanying Vidwan Sri Delhi Sunderajan on Vocal , Vidwan Sri Vittal Ramamurthy on the violin, and Vidwan Sri A.MahaDevan on the Morsing. Gopal is a sophomore at Irvington High in Fremont

Durga Ganesh (Violin Solo)
Durga Ganesh is an 8th grader at Miller middle school and has been learning violin from Guru Dr. Susheela Narasimhan for over 5 years. Durga has participated in many bayarea music programs and won prizes at OSAAT, Naadanritya & Papanasam Sivan competitions. She is also learning carnatic vocal music, enjoys reading & swimming.
