Sangeetha Sampath (Vocal) :

Sangeetha is the disciple of Shri Vaigal. S. Gnanaskandan (Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer vazhi) and has been under his tutelage since her childhood. While growing up in India, she had keen interest in music and has won many awards in the music circle in Chennai. She has performed Kacheris at different sabhas in Chennai, and also performed under the SV LOTUS umbrella earlier in 2004. Along with her sister Lavanya, she has released two albums – Dasavatharam songs composed by her Guru Shri. Gnanaskandan in 2000, and ‘Raga Pravaham’, a collection of Ragamalikas released by Carnatica ,Chennai in 2002. She currently lives in the bay area with her 3 kids. She enjoys giving vocal music performances occasionally and also teaches vocal music to kids to keep the carnatic tradition growing.

Divya Mohan (violin):

Divya has been learning violin since age 6 and has been under the tutelage of Dr Saravanapriyan Sriraman, a disciple of Lalgudi Sri GJR Krishnan, since 2005. She has performed widely in the bay area giving violin solo concerts and has accompanied many upcoming and mature artists in live concerts and TV recordings. Divya learns vocal music as well and did her music arangetram during Summer 2011 in Chennai under the able guidance of her Guru Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. She has participated and won recognition and prizes in many competitions including the Cleveland Aradhana, in both vocal and violin categories. Divya will be a Junior at Mission SanJose High School, Fremont, in the Fall.

Ajay Gopi (Mrdangam) :

Ajay Gopi has been learning mridangam for past 4 years from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan, disciple of late Sri. Kumbakonam NarayanaSwamy Iyer. He also got advanced training from Sri. Kallidaikurichi Sivakumar, disciple of Sri. Palghat Raghu. Ajay accompanies young talent in bay area regularly and he recently accompanied Chinmaya sisters in his Upanayanam concert. Ajay also learns carnatic vocal. He has participated in various competitions in the bay area as well as in India and has won many prizes in both vocal and mridangam. Ajay is a freshman at Irvington High School, Fremont.

Smt. Anuradha Sundar (Veena)

Smt. Anuradha Sundar is a devoted vainika and a disciple of two maestros. She is fortunate to learn from Acharya Ratnakara Chitraveena Shri. N. Narasimhan, a musical genius and an extraordinary teacher. She is also a student of Smt. Nirmala Rajasekhar, an award-winning vainika of international repute. Initially, her foundations in veena were ably laid by Smt. Hema Veeramani. Later, her veena skills were guided and shaped by the noted Bay Area vainika Dr. Srikanth Chary. She has performed in many venues in and around Bay Area, in a local TV channel and in Cleveland Aradhana. Her performance in San Diego was very well received. She has learnt Carnatic vocals from late Shri. Krishnamurthy Bhagavathar and Hindustani vocals from late Padmabhushan Pandit Shri. Ram Marathe.

Suriya Subramanian (Mridangam)

Suriya Subramanian learned to play the Mridangam from Shri A V Vedaraman and is currently a student of Shri M N Hariharan. With his guru, he published a book Korvais Made Easy. Suriya has performed in music festivals in India and the US including for artists such as Chitravina N Ravikiran, Carnatica Brothers, and Neyveli Santhanagopalan.

Keerthi Sundaramurthy (Violin):

Keerthi Sundaramurthy is a Junior at Washington High School. She has been learning violin from Sri Saravanapriyan Sriraman, disciple of Sri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan, for 5 years. She has participated in the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana festival and was awarded 1st and 2nd prizes for senior category Violin. She has also won prizes in the Papanasam Sivan competition, and OSAAT. Keerthi has accompanied several artists and school events in the Bay Area. Apart from Violin, she learns carnatic vocal from Sri Ajay Namboodiri, disciple of Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan, over Skype. Other than music, Keerthi plays Varsity tennis for her school team, and has been involved in Speech and Debate.
