Suicide Prevention

LFS staff received special training to learn about refugees' risk for suicide. The training PowerPoint is titled, "Refugees, Suicide Risk, and Our Response" by Whitney Haruf. To view the PowerPoint, click here.

In conjunction, Metro Crisis Line provided a training to staff regarding suicide prevention. Click here to see the notes.

If the refugee you know shows any sign of suicide, please have them call the Metro Crisis Line. The Metro Crisis Line has translation services in over 180 languages.
