Food Assistance
**Effective November 1st, 2013, food stamp allotments are being reduced. Click November 2013 Food Stamps Reduction for more information.**
Mentors should NOT help refugee families to register for Food Assistance. Lutheran Family Services will help them to register. If they are having problems with their Food Stamps, please contact MARC@denrescue.org as soon as possible so that the issue can be addressed.
The money for the Food Assistance program comes from the state government. While LFS helps to register for the program, they have nothing to do with it. All of the money comes from the state/county directly to the refugees. They can access their funds on their Colorado Quest Card.
