Child Care
Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
CCAP helps families who qualify pay for child care for infants to children age 13 and special needs youth up to age 19. Parents must meet eligibility requirements to qualify. Families must appy for CCAP in their county of residence. This does not necessarily mean free child care. The family will be expected to pay for a portion of their child care costs through a parent fee that is determined based on household income, household size and the number of children who receive Child Care Assistance.
In general, counties set eligibility for families, but must serve families that have income of 130% or less of the federal poverty guideline and may not serve families that have income of over 85% of the State Median income.
