Baruch Ba

ברוך בא בשם יי

Not to be mistaken for "Baruch Haba Beshem Adonai" (the words from the end of Hallel), "Baruch Ba Beshem Adonai" is a popular Jewish table song from Baghdad, found in the standard siddurim of that custom, such as Tefillat Yesharim. The words are absolutely chock-full of halakhic and kabbalistic references.

The melody we sing in our home is a slightly modified version of that hailing from the Baghdadi/Syrian community of Calcutta.
