Scholarships

Alice Lloyd College guarantees no out-of-pocket costs for tuition to all accepted full-time students from our 108-county service area in Appalachia. This generous financial aid package is made possible through the private support of alumni, friends, churches, organizations, foundations, and businesses across America. A gift to one of our scholarship funds offers central Appalachian students quality educational opportunities with little or no accumulation of debt.

General Scholarship Fund

Each year, approximately 30% of our operating income is used to provide student aid in the form of scholarship grants. A gift to the general scholarship fund provides financial assistance to one or more students during the year in which the gift is made.

Student Work Scholarship Fund

All full-time students attending Alice Lloyd College are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week in our Student Work Program to help pay for the cost of education. Gifts to the student work scholarship fund help cover student wages during the year in which the gifts are made.
