On January 8, 2010, The Country Almanac ran a story "Menlo Park blog captures local life, people, vignettes." I went to the blog at http://inmenlo.com and read all the entries back to the beginning entry on June 12, 2009, and was greatly impressed. After submitting several ideas for stories, I was invited to try my hand at writing some stories of my own.
