ARID course is now finished. This page is no longer current. It is a record of the early lectures given at ARID. Teachers Uzma Bashir and Nadia Hassan should add outlines and relevant materials to complete the record of what was actually taught in the Arid Course.
Philosophy of the course is the LEARNING IS BY DOING. Accordingly, the students are EXPECTED to do a lot of work between classes
.
The schedule below lists student activities in sequence as: AAU L01C Class -- this stands for Arid Agri Univ Learning Unit 01 in CLASS. This is followed by AAU L02H Home - this is learning unit 02 to be covered at HOME. The dates given are APPROXIMATE, not actual dates. They are meant to provide the correct SEQUENCE in which student should work.
The sequence of activities ALTERNATES between in-Class activites and at-Home activities. Students should come prepared to class after having done their at-Home activities. There will be a QUIZ at the start of EVERY CLASS to assess that students have done their at-Home activities. This quiz will be graded and the scores will be included in the class score
