This lecture involves most basic of all statistical operations. Comparison of two numbers. Comparing is considered as the simplest of all statistical operations.

1. Read chapter notes and watch slides on comparisons part-I lecture.
2. Assign weights of your choice in table on slide 22 in file "Lec 03.ppt" and see which is best Sports car in different situations.

Read about why rankings are arbitrary. Following activities should be done at home, BEFORE coming to next class.
