- Order of Calculations Chaplain w ASU support unit. This unit provides 'eye-in-the-sky' assessment of battlefield conditions, fire support, and on-site repairs for damaged and disabled machines. Although neither very tough or formidable in heavy combat, these units have proved invaluable in the complex and changing environment of the modern combat arena.
- In the past Order of Calculation members spent most of their time out of harms-way, usually in secure and well equipped outposts and way-stations. But as recently as the Pithian Mutiny and with the escalation of the conflict on Newtonia, Calculator Chaplains have been taking a more active role in front-line combat in a battlefield medical and repair role. Many modern-era Chaplains have applied their trained intellects towards providing on-site logistical support as well as their traditional roles as guides and providers of comfort for those who have lost sight of their place in the great pattern of things.
