Game Sessions

Arctic Station Zayin-Twelve, Charon System -Utgard

-----------------------------------------------------------

Session one - Working Fortuna

It was supposed to be simple job.

Your contact, Johnson Wu (not his real name, you're sure), said that the place would be unguarded and staffing light on account of the Oyaban holiday. A whole container of luxury goods (marked ‘Luxury Goods’) just there for the taking.

And the taking part was easy. You just dressed up in generic Dock Worker Guild uniforms, stole a lift truck (just where Wu said it would be) and loaded the goods onto it. That’s when you noticed the guys lurking around wearing black and speaking Montaguan.

Definitely not security- no uniforms. Plus, sneaking about in the dark with guns isn't something you do when you are someplace you are supposed to be.

The smart thing to do would be to run away - there were at least seven of them to the four of you - but Lydon had good reason to hate Montaguans and a chip on his shoulder as large as the moons of Charon, so he decided to bring the fight to the interlopers whether or not it was a fight that they were looking for. Lydon snuck around the back of a where-house and peppered four of them with bullets shortly before JonQ dropped them with a blast of his psionic powers.

Meanwhile, Hawking drove like a madman, dodging bullets in the slow-moving loader while Q-D0X dropped some cover fire. As Hawk drove the loader straight onto the drop ship Q-D0X took a bullet in the leg, but not before sending one of the Montaguans to the Great Shepherd in the Sky. The remaining two Montaguans decided that discretion was the better part of valor and ran off into the night. Jon and Lydon then rushed to the dropship encouraging their comrades to a speedy exit.

Wincing in pain, Q-D0X managed to patch up his own leg (Hawking tried to help but was probably still rattled from the gunplay), and entered the necessary clearance codes as the dropship eased into the skylanes and away from the scene of the crime.

Once safely away, JonQ pinged Mr. Wu with an update, questioning him about the other party they encountered. Wu said he was happy to hear that you were safe (and by 'you' he likely meant 'the goods'), and that he was sorry about what had happened and would investigate. The investigation part sounds good, sure - but why was he 'sorry'?

Wary and weary now that the rush of adrenaline is fading, you make your way to Zanzibar TG Docking Station to dock with the ship and plot the (hopefully) uneventful trip to Kuiper. There you plan to drop off the goods with the buyer, a certain Lars Dicksun at Valhalla Station.
