The concrete patio is not as glaring with the bright paint removed. This is good for us seniors--much less glare.
However, the texture is relatively smooth since the previous maintenance crew sanded it smooth to remove the previous epoxy paint. In addition the mottled surface is due to incomplete paint removal from water jetting. Sand blasting returns the color to natural homogeneous concrete coloring.
Instead check out the above very non-slip brushed texture and color along the side of the clubhouse. It is very good for seniors and longevity of finish.
I highly recommend sandblasting the surface (as recommended by the professional concrete contractor quote I provided) of the patio to remove the mottling (uneven coloration of the patio) and produce a much more slip resistant finish. By leaving it unpainted and natural concrete durable finish will last for decades--much like sidewalks everywhere. Painting it with any epoxy requires restripping and repainting in 5-10 years--i.e. not a durable treatment.
