Yancy Cemetery
Also known as "Tunnel Hill Cemetery" which was a name given by the Greenbrier Historical Society in the 1990s. The original name however is Yancy Cemetery named after the first interred individual, Hattie Yancy. This cemetery is a small African American family cemetery from the 1920s. This cemetery is located on private property and is not maintained, permission is by the landowner.
All individuals known to be buried there were residences of Caldwell. The 1920's census of Caldwell lists 36 people living "On hill above Caldwell". Those 36 people were made up of 5 families including Williamson, Chambers, Clark, Andrews & Yancy.
