C&O Caldwell Bridge Signal

This typical full bridge signal has been in service since 1961 and was made by the Lackawanna Steel Construction Corporation. The signal was taken down by the CSX crane master’s out of Roanoke, VA on Monday or Tuesday, October 6th or 7th, 2014. I have managed to get ahead of the game and get pictures of its final days standing, perhaps the last day.
