“No one seems to know when the Caldwell Presbyterian Church was established, but according to a long time member of the church, Roy Hefner, the original building stood when he moved to Greenbrier County in 1905. For those who remember where the Caldwell grist Mill was, the original meeting house was built just above it. Sometime during the 1920’s, the old structure was converted to a home. The new church, a white frame building with four pillars at the front entrance which is still in use today, is located on Route 60 in Caldwell. According to Rev. E.N. Clower, the church serves as a community building. Many groups have and still meet there, including the American Legion and Lions Club. In the past the church has held a Vacation Bible School but not recently. Sunday morning services are held on the first and third Sundays of every month at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday School is at 10:30 a.m. on the same days and at 10 a.m. on the remaining Sundays. "
