It is a method that combines spirituality, Ericksonian hypnosis and dynamics of forgiveness for changes in behavior and psychosomatic responses of relief in the patient. It is used in treatment of phobias, fear, sadness, anxiety, anorexia, bulimia, low self-esteem, insecurity, complex, migraine, obesity, obsessions, allergies and addictions.

Hypnosis is a state of numbness, trance or daydreaming in which we are aware of what is happening around us, hear sounds, we can open our eyes, walk or increase our attention to certain thoughts that we are interested in. Eliminates pain, remember forgotten events, reprogram behavior, enhance resources and body’s faculties. It is the fastest and efficient tool of psychology to heal disorders in mental and emotional health.

Such state was called hypnosis by a Scottish physician James Braid in 1843. He used the Hypnos Greek root that means sleep, because he considered that people behaved as if they were asleep. It is also called altered states of consciousness, trance, sophrology or NLP. Its therapeutic application is called hypnotherapy, noesitherapy, etc.

Hypnosis that we see on television and theater shows, seems like the hypnotized person is soundly asleep and at the mercy of what the hypnotist wants to do with the individual, but that's false. The person has unconscious control about what he does and what he or she says. Much of what we see there is prepared. Usually, the person has been previously hypnotized and it is left in his or her mind post-hypnotic orders to make look as if the hypnotist has powers to make people sleep quickly and control them.

Aurelio Mejia Clinical Hypnosis has a healing purpose and requires dialogue with the patient during the process. He is aware of what he says and does, listening to the sounds of the environment and can decide when to leave the hypnotic trance, since he is not asleep or unconscious.

No one can be hypnotized against their will, and during hypnosis the subject is master of himself; doing only what he accepts to do. Usually, as the therapist ask to remember the cause of a particular symptom, he perceives a feeling, image or thought somehow related to the topic. Thus, little by little, the therapist leads him deeper and deeper into the trance, trying for him not to analyze consciously what he is saying.

Offers resistance to hypnosis someone that is very rational, he is waiting "to connect", he is anxious to know when the therapist has hypnotized him, or expects to be touched and magically fall asleep, and upon awakening find himself as new: without fear, resentments and healed of all his ailments and addictions. Also presents difficulty, the one who comes to therapy with someone else that do not trust to tell his secrets (he thinks the therapist could make him say something hidden), some one that is in a hurry because has to travel or attend a compromise.

Restless children and older adults are almost impossible to hypnotize because they have a lot of mental dispersion and the hypnotherapist is unable to make them concentrate on a given topic. Also, those who are under the influence of liquor or drugs, very submissive people or those who suffer from mental retardation.

No one does things against their moral principles. The hypnotized person has control over what has to do with his/her code of ethics and moral principles; if he/she does under hypnosis something immoral is because there was a chance for him/her to do so in a conscious state. Obviously, the risk of something wrong is less when the person is accompanied by a friend or relative during the process.

Upon awakening the person can remember everything, partially or nothing. This depends on several factors such as the orders of the hypnotist or/and due to traumatic experiences.

No one remains hypnotized. If left in this state, the hypnotic dream becomes natural and the person wakes up, sometime later, normally. Hypnosis per se is not a danger. What can happen is that by trying to "wake up" quickly a subject who is in a deep state, the person presents difficulty to do, as it can happen to anyone during physiological sleep when you want to wake up and your body does not. In some shows has been given this case, and they call for a physician, the journalists, the village priest, they take the hypnotized person to the clinic and then say that hypnosis is dangerous (and if the show is in a school full of kids, a collective hysteria could be arise). Actually, in a case like this one, it is enough to wait for the trance itself become a natural sleep, or give the order to the hypnotized person to “wake up peacefully” in 10 minutes, for example.

The psychiatrist Brian Weiss says: "Most people have a misconception of hypnosis because of the way in which it has been represented on television, movies and theater’s shows.  Being hypnotized is not being asleep. Consciousness always knows what one experiences while hypnotized (...). During hypnosis, your mind is always awake, watching and commenting. You can always compare details and facts with your present life. You are the observer of your own film, its critic and usually also its star. "
The psychiatrist Milton Erickson used metaphors (similarities, comparisons with other things easily understood) to induce in his patients psycho-emotional reactions that would heal them of mental disorders using hypnosis without loss of consciousness. The Spanish surgeon Angel Escudero operates patients without anesthesia under conscious hypnosis and called his technique Noesiology. Something similar does the Colombian neuro-psychiatrist Alfonso Caycedo Lozano using the technique called Sophrology which is also hypnosis.

Regression implies “to return" the subject in time to relive or remember things such as being in the womb. But if you are encouraged to go further, it is possible that "remembering" other identities or alleged past lives. In this case, it is common that the person feels the certainty of being here and now, conscious (not asleep) while at the same time has the feeling of being in the past with other personality, which allows him to compare and understand the possible origin of his trauma or disease. Some experiences may be historic, but others are merely hallucinations that combine experience with aspirations from unconsciousness.

This can be attributed to genetic inheritance, Akashic records, collective unconscious, noosphere, telepathy, imaginary or impressions from readings or movies, but there have been cases where the information does not match any of the above patterns, such as speaking a language or dialect of that time (this is called xenoglossy), or to say that the entire family died in an accident, a fact that breaks the chain of genetic offspring and suggests that there is an extra-brain memory. Where is such memory located? Are we spirit with a body and not a body with spirit? By the effects can be assumed the cause that produces them.

Know the origin of a problem helps solve it. Regression therapy is a treatment in which hypnosis is used for the patient to remember the time when depression, complex, guilt, phobia, migraine, cancer or other ailments originated, when no cause is found through conventional medical methods, and then motivate him to understand why, and then forgive, accept and reprogram his mind to generate the opposite effect. An approach technique that gives very good results in this case is role reversal: acting and thinking like the other.

Imagination and memory are two mental responses of the brain, and the only way to know if it is one or the other, is when the information can be corroborated historically. That would be nice to do so when it comes to writing a history book, not for the development of a therapy since it would be the equivalent of saying we must throw away all placebos in hospitals used to heal the highly suggestible sick persons. If the patient is sick due to an imaginary, then an imaginary also can cure him.

Regression can be analyzed as if it were surgery. The patient comes to us symptomatic and we use the scalpel of hypnosis to remove or clean whatever we can. Is the patient healthy already? If it were real surgery, we would never think that. It would be necessary to accompany him, wait for cicatrization, recovery, etc. to take place. Operate the patient again? Maybe, but we must allow the improvements made consolidate.

Applying these metaphors to our subject matter. After regression, the patient understands freshly what happens and why. He can even say that he has imagined everything, that his mind has created it. But at the level of his non-conscious mind, we have given him a resource that can be very important in his healing: to think differently about his problems or ailments, or to remember the source of every issue (or imagine a cause. For the outcome it doesn’t matter the way).

If no surgery is done just to see what can be found, it is not convenient to do a regression out of curiosity to know who you were in a past life. Mental state (affections, emotions, fears and various feelings) can be compared to a more or less crystalline water surface of a lake: If someone digs the bottom of that lake, mud rises and muddies the water for a while on the surface.

Deep in our mind we have traces of past experiences that are not worth remembering. Why would you go back in time to mourn the memory of unhappy events of the past, or feed the ego with illusory greatness believing that you were an important character? If when we come to earth we forget our alleged past, we must value the present and prepare a better future for our own sake, let us be honest with ourselves and seek for changing, in a rational and conscious way, our evil tendencies.

Similar to surgery, which should only be done to remove tumors or correct physical defects, so the regression of memory is recommended to seek the source of trauma, complexes, fears, pains and diseases for which conventional medicine cannot find the cause. And where possible, seeks to reprogram attitudes and dependencies associated with the event. When the patient confronts, accepts and forgives the causes, usually the disturbing effects stop, whether the person believes or not in past lives.

Under hypnosis is relatively easy to produce phenomena which go beyond what we could call normal such as telepathy, that is, to grasp what a particular person is thinking, whether they are near or thousands of kilometers away. It is also easy for the hypnotized to set the state of health or illness of his own body or someone else’s, as if he has the gift of insight (search for "Edgar Cayce" in Google, http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Cayce). Are also unexplainable, from the point of view of traditional psychology, cases of extra-cerebral memory, in which the hypnotized can remember alleged past lives, and even speak in languages that he is not supposed to know; this phenomenon is called xenoglossy. Why does it happen? Probably because during hypnotic state our mind operates under different parameters than commonly understood as space/time.

Role reversal with another absent person (think, respond and act as the other) is surprising in hypnosis. We have received testimonies from some cases in which forgiveness therapy was done using the role reversal technique and as a result of this dialogue between the patient and the absent person there was a positive change of behavior in both subjects.

Regarding addictions there are many factors to be considered in therapy. 1. What motivates the addiction? 2. Repeated intake creates a habit. 3. Habit generates organic dependency or a biological response to intake toxics. Hypnosis is a tool that quickly addresses the psychological factors but the organic factor depends on each individual and the level of affectation.

There may be psychological factors of genetic inheritance, of alleged past lives (in a remote past, for example, he did not have food to eat) or unconscious programming from childhood when his family called him "how cute is this chubby". "What do you want to eat my fatty little one?” When a child leaves food on the plate, because his body has made normal fullness signals, we suggest him to ignore that, we encourage him to keep eating, for him to leave nothing, because "here there are no chickens" or “there are starving children in Africa”. And to reinforce, we say, "Eat this spoonful for grandma... and this one for mom," as if eating were a manifestation of affection. And then we complain about the child being fat! Therefore, treatment for obesity, smoking, alcohol or drugs, may require more than one session, although in many cases just one is enough.

Found and healed the cause of obesity, for example, we work upon the effects to reduce the desire to overeat and thus reduce the size of the adipocyte cells, which are storing energy as fat. Anorexia (not wanting to eat) or bulimia (eating but then vomiting to prevent weight gain), most likely have psychological origin and are relatively easy to address with regressive hypnosis and mental reprogramming, healing the causes through forgiveness and acceptance. It is suggested to the subject under hypnosis something like this: "From now on you love infinitely your body, and gladly eat what is essential for each cell to be nourish as it should be”.

The chewing gum diet. Many obese people swallow instead of eating. They chew very well a chewing gum until they get the last feeling of sweetness or mint flavor, but do not do the same with food. Good digestion starts in the mouth, chewing food thoroughly and properly mixing it with saliva enzymes. I invite you all to practice the chewing gum diet: chewing and savoring every bite of food to sense all flavors, and then let it pass to the stomach. It improves digestion and heals colon problems.

Another example that I use to motivate change of attitude in people, is one of a man who sleeps under a bridge and in the morning he gets up and takes an old sack to go walking the streets begging. And whatever objects that causes him damage or pain, he puts it in the sack and loads it onto his back. And because he does it every day, he has been gathering rocks, sticks, bones, banana peels on which he slipped, dirty water thrown at him from a balcony, the remains of a meal that caused him indigestion, etc. At night he uses the sack as a pillow, and not surprisingly, gives him difficulty to sleep.

And if this man is crazy, so are we, for collecting life sorrows, resentments, guilt, insults, teasing, complexes, broken engagements and relationships that never took place. And our sack gradually becomes so heavy that we begin to feel pain and fatigue in our back and legs. There are those who have difficulty sleeping, as each night they make an inventory of grievances, guilt and other sorrows from childhood to today.

Imagine a school where the teacher has to leave students alone for a short time. And to keep them busy, she decided to organize them in pairs, so that one will teach the other, or vice versa. She put together a good student with another that had learning difficulties; one patient with another intolerant, an arrogant one with another humble, and so on. In this way each couple had a student who would act as a teacher and another as pupil. Occasionally, masters come to Earth or to other inhabited planets in the cosmos, as Jesus (he taught forgiveness) and Gautama Siddhartha (Buddha taught detachment). There are also people that meet in one family, enterprise or group of neighbors, so that one will teach to the other patience, tolerance, justice, understanding, humility, caring, tenderness, forgiveness, etc. What are you're learning? Who's your teacher? And what do you teach?

One day I wanted to take a trip. I went to the southern land transportation terminal of the city, I went to a ticket office and asked which bus was next to leave. And they answered me: The Red one! And hurry up it is ready to leave!

- I agreed, paid the fare and went into the red one. After two hours of traveling, I asked one of the passengers what place this bus was going, and he said: To Pasto, at the Colombia's border with Ecuador, land of good people, woodworkers. - What? Pasto, wood? No way! I answered.
Since it was not what I wanted, I got off at the next bus stop and returned to the southern terminal in Medellin. I went to the ticket office and asked for a more comfortable vehicle. Of course! We have very comfortable buses, the ones of Bolivarian express and the Brasilia fleet. They have reclining seats, with light and air conditioning, and the next bus leaves in an hour.

- I bought the ticket and went to the waiting room until it was time to go. Four hours had passed and seeing that we did not reach anywhere, I asked the bus driver where we were going and he said: We are going to the Amazon to see the monkeys in the trees, crocodiles in the rivers and indigenous peoples hunting with blowpipes!

You can imagine what a face I made. I got off right there and took another bus back to the terminal. I went back to the ticket office and asked for an economic bus. Express Sardine they recommended me, but after 15 minutes’ drive, I could not take anymore the crushing and the smell of camel armpit sweat. I went back moody where we already know and I told the clerk that I wanted to go to a white sandy beach with a crystal blue sea, where I could feel the cooing sound of the waves, the breeze caressing my face and palm trees to hang a hammock, pelicans fishing, beautiful women, etc.

Sir, you are at the wrong terminal! What you want is located in Cartagena and Santa Marta, and our buses do not go there. You can go by plane, and in that case you should go to the José María Córdoba airport. You can go walking, but you would have to buy a good and comfortable pair of shoes, as it is at 400 kilometers from here. You could go by bike, at "the hole” they rent racing or touring bikes. You can take an express taxi or an economic bus, but in that case, you must buy a ticket at the northern terminal.
Did I make myself understood? Life is like a journey, and it is me who must decide which destination I want to take, where do I want to go, what north am I going to give it. Once I have defined that, I must then choose the options that I have to reach that goal I have set for myself. I should not marry that woman because she is the most beautiful, the one in red, or because she has money, or study that professional career because it is the easiest, or buy those useless things simply because they are very cheap. If none of that leads to happiness, success, to your dreams, then you must change. For those who do not know where they are going, any road will be fine and any bus would take them. Too much analysis generates paralysis.

The mind has the ability to think, imagine, remember or create. And it can also combine the above elements to create an imagined memory that makes it think that is true, which can set a state of hallucination or schizophrenia. When is it an experience of something real that happened and when is something imagined? Regarding therapy, no matter what it is, if the subject's mind does it that way to achieve what it wants.

We have a material body that we can see, touch, smell and weigh out which is controlled by thoughts, something invisible that nobody could ever touch, smell or weigh but no one would dare deny its existence. Since mankind can remember, he has realized that thoughts act on the body. "I think, therefore I am", said the philosopher Descartes. The Roman poet Juvenal said in the early second century something like "healthy mind in a healthy body". Communication between the thoughts and the body is made by the brain. Psychology is the science of the action of thoughts.

And, on what thoughts depend on? Here speculation starts. The Greek philosopher Plato felt that the soul is the principle that animates the bodies of living beings, that gives them life and movement. Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin poses his theory of the Noosphere (sphere of thought), the psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung refers to it as the Collective Unconscious, others call it Akashic Records. Many phenomena seem to prove that we have a higher self that controls thoughts, and the same as thoughts, it is also invisible.

Since ancient time people speak of another invisible dimension or heaven, in which the spirits are located, which can produce phenomena of apparitions, revelations, ghosts, sense of presence, etc. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead is called bardo to an intermediate state of existence between two successive lives between death and rebirth. Assuming this is so, the spirit generates thoughts that control the mental operations of the brain and through it, also acts on the body, causing illnesses or healing. You can also communicate with your loved ones of the material plane; this is known as revelations or mediumistic communications.

Every effect has a cause. Our body produces a specific response for each physical or psychological stimulus it receives. For example, if a subject hears on the radio that the winning number of the lottery ticket is the same as the one he has in his hand, he will overflow with joy and will jump like crazy. If he sees that one of the victims in an accident is his close relative, he will be filled of sadness, will cry and may even faint. The same answer is given although the cause of the stimulus happened many years ago, because the person projects and visualizes it in his mental screen, so the brain responds as if such things were real, thus producing emotional states of joy or sadness.

Richard Bandler and John Grinder, Americans, based on the experiences of clinical hypnosis of Milton Erickson, called NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) which is a model of interpersonal communication to generate changes in mental and emotional behavior, in which can be compared the human behavior to  a computer. The software that will program what we will get, is the language or way of expressing ourselves. Speak and think positively. If you think you can accomplish something, and you project it on your mental screen, you will succeed sooner or later. We believe that this is the faith that Jesus talked about, when he said: "Your faith has healed you, go and do not tell anyone"

The hypothalamus, located in the brain stem, is not a fixed structure that can be defined anatomically, but, together with the pituitary gland, controls the operation of most physiological processes such as body temperature, the water metabolism, regulates appetite, respiratory and vascular (vasodilation or vasoconstriction, cardiac, digestive, etc.) functions. It also regulates sleep and is the center where emotional manifestations somatize. To do so, it secretes hormones that travel through the bloodstream carrying chemical orders to make each organic function. And since the suggestions are processed by the brain and hypothalamus, one can understand the healing of physical and mental illnesses.

Freud, a physician born May 6, 1856 in a small town in Moravia (now Pribor, Czechoslovakia) and founder of psychoanalysis, abandoned the use of hypnosis because he observed that such a technique did not guarantee the long-term outcome.

For example, he wrote and published the case of healing of a mother who was unable to breastfeed her newborn second son, and had no psychiatric history. With her first child, the mother was also unable to succeed, despite her wishes, but by then Freud had not had the opportunity to intervene. Besides having no success with breastfeeding, the patient vomited all food, could not sleep and also felt depressed due to her inability to breastfeed. Both her family and she did not trust too much non-traditional methods, but accepted the intervention of Freud, advised by their doctors. Freud attended her home and proceeded to hypnotize her staring into her eyes and inducing her to sleep.

Through suggestion he proceeded to alleviate his patient fears and sensations that she felt physically, saying encouraging and positive words that tried to transmit her the idea of being already healed and in perfect conditions to breastfeed. The next day, the young woman experienced a general improvement that only lasted until lunchtime, when her gastric disorders resumed. Therefore, on the second physician’s visit she showed the same signs of the previous day, to which Freud decided to use hypnosis again, but this time more aggressively. On the third day, the patient did not need to continue with the treatment because she was cured and could resume raising her baby, continuing to breastfeed normally for eight months.
For the third child she presented again the same digestive problems and the difficulties in breastfeeding, so she requested the same treatment to Freud. On the first session of hypnosis, as previously happened with the second child, no good results were obtained; but after the second session all the symptoms disappeared. Freud qualified this patient as a case of occasional hysteria (psychological disorder) because it did arise due to a casual reason, the birth of a baby, which had produced all symptoms.

In another case, in 1889, Freud traveled to a school in Nancy, France, where he met with the physician Bernheim. He went there with the purpose of perfecting his hypnotic technique. Accompanied by one of his patients, Cäcilie M., whose real name was Anna von Lieben, and whom suffered from hysteria. Freud practiced hypnosis with her, partly with good results, because the symptoms improved, and partially with disappointment, because after a while they reappeared. He attributed this problem to its little hypnotic experience. Therefore he contacted Bernheim and requested for him to take care of this patient. He agreed and tries to cure her using suggestion. Just like with Freud, the symptoms disappear but later they arise again. Then, Bernheim confesses him, that he only gets therapeutic successes at the hospital and with his own patients.

I do not think Freud actually went to look for the origin of each symptom to heal its root, encouraging forgiveness or acceptance of the traumatizing event or the trigger of negative emotions, and less if the patient locates the origin in a past life, real or imaginary, since Freud considered himself atheist and non-believer in the spiritual. Furthermore, hypnosis then was handled in the manner of orders that the subject should obey, and in my opinion, such way of approaching should be avoided, because at an unconscious level there will be patients who do not like to receive commands.

If the one giving instructions, poses them in a form of challenge (“now you won’t be able to open your eyes, although you want to") or said things that cannot really be assured ("when you wake up you will no longer smoke") he is acting flippantly. If the hypnotized subjects are highly suggestible, or are very convinced of the power the hypnotist has (as in stage hypnosis) they can respond blindly to such orders. But if they are very rational people, they can respond very critically to these suggestions more appropriate from a show hypnotist than from a professional that employs hypnosis as a way of doing well.

The famous Mayo Clinic in the United States published a review of 144 articles about successful application of hypnosis in the treatment of numerous diseases, such as sexual dysfunction, phobias, allergies, migraines, asthma, rheumatism, obesity, hypertension, and dermatology, gastroenterology, hematology, gynecology and urology. It is available online at http://www.galenicom.com/medline/article/15819289/jo:0025-6196. You can also download the program DreaMule, from www.dreamule. org. Fear to sleep with the light off. Mercedes had to sleep since childhood with the light in his room on. Under hypnosis she went to a past life in which, being a baby, because of some remedies that her father gave her, was as dead, and therefore was buried alive. She awoke anguished in the grave and died. She also went to other lives in which she spoke in English and German. She healed from her fears and the fright of making a decision, and from that moment never she returned to sleep with the light on.
Healed from cancer. Mireya came from another city very distressed because some tests they did her in Bogota had tested positive to cancer. Under hypnosis she found that her cancer was linked directly to hatred toward her husband and in-laws. She forgave and healed. After a few months repeated the tests and no trace of cancer was found.

Several years unable to walk. A young woman of probably 22 years old was taken to one of my lectures because she could not walk. When I told her, while she was under hypnosis, to go and place herself at the origin of her disability, she said: "I am on the roof of my house... the tiles are large and are made of asbestos cement... I am very angry with my dad... the roof tile broke and I fall to the floor... I have a broken bone, it hurts, I cannot walk... I blame my dad for it... I do not forgive him! After a long process of convincing her to forgive, she does. She forgave herself too. Upon awakening she stood up from the chair and walked... Both she and her family that were there hugged me and gave thanks, but I told them that all was an effect of forgiveness, that her disability was a somatization of accumulated rancor.
Lina forgot all because of a drug. To cure a bad cold she was given drugs that made her lose completely her memory. She did not remember her name neither recognize her relatives nor the friend who brought her. Under hypnosis she returned to a life in Venezuela, during the days of Bolivar. She recounted very interesting experiences. When woke up she was allowed to reconnect again with her recent memories and talked to her friend as if nothing had happened.

Fibromyalgia. One of my sons asked me the favor to attend a patient suffering from pain throughout her body and could not be even touched. When asked under hypnosis to locate the origin of the fibromyalgia, she went to a past life in which she was the wife of a wealthy landowner with whom she had permanent discussions. One day he forced her down the carriage on a road in the middle of a countryside, and then whipped the horses so the carriage would pass over her. She felt the treads of the horses and the weight of the wheels over all her body, as a result of which she died. And the hatred she still carried in her spirit toward that husband of hers, was somatize in her present life as fibromyalgia. After a process of forgiving everyone (including herself) she awoke surprised, excited and told her mother: "I touch myself and it does not hurt me... I feel nothing... what a joy!". Years after, I found her in a store, and she said to me: "Don Aurelio, remember me, I am the one you cured that day of fibromyalgia... Never again did I suffer from it".

Migraine, fibromyalgia and walking disability. There was in Aranjuez (a neighborhood of Medellin), a woman who for several years was in a wheelchair and her family used to sit her at the door of their house for her to see people pass. It was a torment for her when someone touched her when they greeted her, since she also suffered from fibromyalgia it did cause her pain throughout the body. Under hypnosis I asked her to locate herself at the origin of the headaches (migraine), she said being a young farmer about 15 years old, living with his grandparents. He was on the edge of a cliff willing to commit suicide because his parents did not agree with the young girl that he was in love of... and he launched himself! When asked what part of the body received the first death blow, he said it was his head (that’s where the migraine and fibromyalgia came from).

The walking disability was located in another life, where she lived and died in a wheelchair. She spent her whole life watching people pass through a window of her house. Made all the forgiving required in this case, her spiritual master allowed total healing. Her son, a taxi driver who took and carried her everywhere, could not believe his eyes when he saw his mother getting up from her chair and very excited going alone down the stairs from my office. After 4 or 5 days they returned to show me how she was walking in high heel shoes.

They did scare in his house. Ricardo was very scared because he lived alone in his apartment and felt strange things happening: noise in the library and moving objects from there place. Under hypnosis he starts a long and very interesting dialogue with a spirit that tells him to go with him. I do not listen to that spirit which Ricardo called Trevor, but due to the development of his monologue, I understand the full dialogue, as the one who is next to a public telephone booth listening. After a while they said goodbye and promised to meet again in a future life.

Since I was curious to know who Trevor was, I asked Ricardo to locate himself at some point where their relationship had begun, and he went to a life in Spain where Ricardo was a peasant woman with several children and very poor. She had a son named Oscar that collected firewood, did milk the cow and warmed her feet on very cold days. She even sang a song to Oscar that I had never heard. Trevor was a British friend to whom Ricardo met while on a tour at the island of San Andres, and for which immediately felt empathy (the same happened to Trevor with Ricardo). When everyone returned to their city, they continued writing and telephoning, and occasionally they sent to each other some small gift by airmail. One day, Trevor got ill and died in England. Yes, you guessed right: Oscar, the son in the past life, proved to be Trevor, his friend in his actual life. The strange things stopped happening from that day on Ricardo's apartment; noises and movements of things ceased in the library, which were coincidentally gifts Trevor had sent him.

Laura had an "incurable" skin disease since age 7. She could not get out in the sun and everything she ate made her sick. Her mother had taken her to all sorts of treatments, but none helped her. When she came to one of my lectures, she had pimples in her face which sometimes bled. When I hypnotized her, she related all this with the somatization of hatred and rage, once she forgave it all, healing was permitted. One day she and her mother returned to give their testimony: The mother introduced herself and asked me if I recognized her daughter, a young beautiful girl about 13 years old, with an enviable skin without scars on the face. And she said, "She is the one that you attended right here a year and half ago. Now she eats everything and is able to go out in the sun”.

He recovered the sense of smell. One day a young man approached me and said that he had completely lost the sense of smell as a result of a motorcycle accident. Under hypnosis I asked him to return to that moment and tell me all the details. He says that after the collision he was unconscious and they took him in an ambulance to the hospital. After surgery, and still with the anesthesia effects, he told his physician that he did not smell anything. And he answered him to get used to it, because it may have been a result of injuries. And those words, said inadvertently and without any intention by the physician, did penetrate deep into the unconscious of the subject: from that moment he lost the sense of smell. I proceeded then to motivate him to forgive the doctor's words and I carried out “deprogramming” the somatization. Once that was done, he recovered the sense of smell at the end of the hypnotic session.

She rejected her abnormal son. A lady told me before the hypnosis session that she had an abnormal child with physical and mental disabilities, and that she did not love him. When she was hypnotized, she went back to a past life in which she was a young blind and disabled, and said that his father loved him so much and took him everywhere, his father kept always an eye on him, and gave him lots of love. When I told her to look in the eyes of that father, the eyes are the reflection of the soul, and see if he has been with her in another life, she began to cry heavily, as she said, he is my current child! He is the son that I was rejecting! Please wake me up now, I want to hug him and ask him to forgive me!

Continuing to live is one of the oldest humanity beliefs. The cavemen, for example, buried their dead in a fetal position so they could born again. The Greeks, Celts and the Egyptians believed in the transmigration of souls (moving from one body to another). And many of us had sometimes the feeling of already knowing someone who we first meet, or we had the feeling of having been before in a place that we are just now visiting (Déjà vu – already seen).

"I think, therefore I am," said the French philosopher René Descartes. If I am, I was created, I would say. And if I was created, who was my creator? If you have thought the same, probably you have also questioned, what is the sense of this life?  Where will I go after death? Why do some suffer more than others? Why some have a certain skill? Why some are born rich, smart and healthy, while others are born poor, blind, marginalized or mentally weak? Why is it that some people that we believe are good are in bad conditions and everything seems to sprout good to those who we consider bad people?
The responses have been and will be subject of speculation, and have given rise to all kinds of philosophical and religious groups. As students at different levels, each one will self-find more in line with one or other theories. In our case, the teachings of Jesus, The Urantia Book, explanations of the French Allan Kardec (1804-1869) in his books on Spiritism, and memory regressions using hypnosis, have allowed us to understand many vicissitudes of life with reasoned faith.

If you were an atom, a tiny particle of matter revolving around it electrons as if they were moons around the Earth, the neighboring atom would be at a considerable distance, such as from Earth to Mars. If you were a cell, your little body would be composed of millions of atoms, and you would move from one place to another in search of food, competing with many other cells like you. If you were a microbe, you would have your body made up of millions of cells, and you would move in a world of cells and microbes like you. As a human being, you have a body made up of trillions of microbes, cells and atoms, yet you do not understand when and how inert matter began to move and think, and neither have you reached to imagine that you can be part of a much more giant living body, such as a cosmos.

Do you understand now how difficult it is to have an idea about what is the First Cause of all that exists? Some ancient Chinese called Tao, or flow of nature to the Beginning of everything. Others say God, Lord, Father, Mother, Buddha, Krishna, Shiva, Allah, the Great Architect of the Universe, or Universal Energy Prana, basically the idea is the same, but the name is different. If there is an effect, there is a cause that produces it, and if it is intelligent, the cause is of intelligent nature. Believing that a plant, animal or human being is just a result of random set of cells is like assuming that a masterpiece of literature may have been accidentally created when an alphabet soup was spilled. By the harmony of an organized set, it can be demonstrate the existence of a creative intelligence, although we cannot imagine it.

Proving that something exists without having previously defined it, it is as impossible as searching for something without having an idea of what it is. To verify that a liquid is water, for example, we must rely on the previous definition of which: a colorless and odorless liquid, consisting of two molecules of hydrogen and one of oxygen, which boils at a hundred degrees and freezes at zero. So, to prove that God and the spirits exist, we must first agree on what is the idea that each one has of God, what is our concept of existence, and what we’ll call Spirit.

In monotheistic religions God is defined as the Supreme Being maker of the Universe. Some attribute him everything that happens, "God wants me to leave that business", "God, help me!", “May God forgive him", "Deliver us from all danger," "Thank god he was healed", "My God saved him from that accident”. By the same logic, one could also conclude that "God wanted him to die," "God did not prevent the kidnapping", "God killed the rest of people in that fire", "God allowed that rape," "God is causing a tsunami in Japan and an earthquake in Chile", " God is burning many of his creatures in hell, as if they were chickens in a roaster".

This conception of a God acting as a human, who is vengeful, who grants wishes to whoever prostrate before him, praises him and makes him sacrifices, it's a very limited view of the Creative Principle of all that exists. I think that creation is governed by natural and universal laws of cause and effect.
Spirit means breath in Latin and is translated as life principle in which resides the thought, the will and moral sense. It is assumed to be of intangible nature because it presents no analogy with what we call matter. It is synonymous of soul or anima, which means movement, activity, vitality or encouragement. In this sense, for example, animate a party is "to give it a soul" to activate it. When a glove moves is because it has a hand that animates it, the hand is to the glove what the Spirit is to the body.

As for the essence of the Being is concerned, there are basically two doctrines or philosophical currents: Materialism and Spiritualism. The first one reduces to matter all that exists, even the human soul, and the second admits the existence of the Spirit as substantial reality. Since Spiritualism is a very general term, Allan Kardec proposed in 1857 the term Spiritism to refer to the doctrine that believes in the existence of spirits and in the communications with them.

Practically all religions are spiritualists, because they admit we have an invisible and imponderable principle. Some also have a spiritist character, for they believe that the dead can continue to communicate in apparitions or revelations, and we can ask them help. The Catholic Church, for example, offers an extensive list of Spirits for every need, Lucia to heal the eyes, to get a boyfriend Antonio, Barbara to quell the storms, Joseph to provide work, Ana to get a house, Cipriano to recover health, Ignatius of Loyola to have prosperity, Raymond Nonatus for a good childbirth, Rafael to help walkers, etc. And the list grows every year: Marianito, Bertilda, Nepomuceno, Margarita, etc.

1- We are Spirit with body. The Spirit has no gender. The body is a means of expression and acquisition of experiences. The refinement of the Spirit is the result of its own effort. Failing in one existence to acquire all the moral and intellectual qualities which should lead it to its target, it reaches it through a succession of existences, and on each it advances a little in the way of progress. Each existence goes with a different body: man, woman or alien.

2- The Earth is not the center of the Universe, nor is the largest planet. On all the planets where there are physiochemical conditions similar to those of Earth, there is the same probability that life has formed same as ours. There are many worlds less developed than the Earth, and there are also others highly developed, which is appropriate to the different levels of advancement of Spirits and where the body forms can be very different, as occurs with Earth microbes, plants, birds, fish, etc. And Jesus said, "In my Father's house are many mansions." In hypnotic regressions we have found that we have also lived in other planets (we have been aliens).

3- Death is the end of a body and the returning of Spirit to the Light, a dimension in which you feel, but do not have a body of matter that we acknowledge. The time in that bard or dimension between two material lives, is variable. When a patient in regression refers to this intermediate state, he could say that he is still close to his loved ones (when there are attachments), that he is in the Light and everything is peace, or that he feels being in the darkness and emptiness (this condition occurs following a suicide).

4- Heaven and hell do not exist. These are not physical places where the spirits go to enjoy or suffer endlessly. These are simple metaphors to represent psychological states of ecstasy or deep depression, which can be taken as heavenly or hellish, as stated by Pope John Paul II on behalf of the Catholic Church.
And now his successor, Benedict XVI, has been saying that such places exist, which shows that the Popes make also mistakes in matters of faith, that they are not infallible and do not have the alleged direct connection with God. And with of such gaffes, he had to resign to give way to Pope Francis of Argentina.

5- In each physical existence, the Spirit must perform a task in proportion to its level of development. The more rough and laborious that task is, the greater the merit it will obtain once is accomplished. Thus, each existence is a proof that approaches it to the goal. The number of those existences is undetermined.

6. Forgetting our past lives is something that benefits us. If we would remember what happened during each day that we have lived, probably we would spend our present day bitter or resentful. Through regressions and mediumistic communications, we know that the Spirit reborns somehow related to the same people of social or family environment of a past life, among other things, to reconcile or repair damage that have been caused. If we would recognize those who we had hated or offended, resentments or guilt feelings could be arouse.

7- The evils that afflict humanity are caused by pride, selfishness and bad passions. Because of men vices, they make each other miserable and some are mutually punishing them. The Spirit who was vain and proud in a previous life, can now have a life of humiliation; the tyrant, one of servitude; the rich that was bad, one of misery; who used his senses or limbs to provoke  damage, could now have a life of a blind, dumb, maimed or deformed.

8- When Spirits incarnate they bring what they acquired in their previous lives. This is the reason why men instinctively show certain skills, good or bad inclinations that seem innate in them. The bad tendencies are remnants of imperfections and signs of past mistakes.

9- If the Spirit of the child has lived before, why is it that from birth it does not manifest itself as it is? The child needs delicate care that only the tenderness of a mother can lavish, and that tenderness increases with the weakness and the naivety of the child. For a mother it would be very difficult to surrender to the love of his son, if instead of the naive grace of that little angel she would have found under his childish factions a virile character and ideas of an adult, and even more difficult if she had known his past and possibly remembered that they were enemies or had hurt each other.

10- If the soul (name given to a Spirit in a body) had not lived before, it would have been created simultaneously with the body. Admitting this assumption, it could not have any relation with those souls that preceded it. So, you may ask, how God that we suppose supremely just and good, would have made it responsible for an original sin that it didn’t commit? If we say, however, that the soul at birth, brings with it the germ of the imperfections of its former lives, and it suffers in the present life the consequences of past sins, the original sin takes a logical explanation that everyone can understand and admit, because the soul is responsible only for what it has done.

11- If the current existence was the only one and it would be expected for it to decide the eternal future of the soul, what would be the fate of children who die at an early age? What would be the fate of the mentally retarded and those without any instruction? Having no consciousness of good and evil, they have no responsibility for their actions. If God created souls to submit them to a miserable existence without compensation, would he be nice and fair? If you admit that in other existence you could fulfill what was not done in a short life (which may be a test for your family) and the crazy, mentally retarded or an idiot is a Spirit fulfilling a task, an expiation or mission in a handicapped body to express its thoughts, you can understand that everything is in conformity with the justice of cause and effect.

12. The diversity of skills, moral and intellectual, is proof that the soul has already lived. If it had been created simultaneously with current body it would not be in accordance with God's goodness to make some more advanced than the others. Why, then, savage and civilized men, good and bad, silly and ingenious people? Saying that some have lived and gained more experience or knowledge than others, explains everything.

13. Desperation is natural in one who believes that all ends with the death of the body, but makes no sense for those who have faith in a future. In your afflictions observe those who are below and not above you. Think of those whose suffering is even greater than yours. Usually, man is the architect of his own unhappiness. If we go back to the source of our misfortunes, we will see that they are, for most people, the outcome of their lack of foresight, pride and greed. And therefore, the outcome of our violation of the laws of nature.

14. Prayer is recommended by good Spirits and is requested by imperfect Spirits as a means to alleviate their sufferings. You cannot change their karma, but when spirits perceive that we are interested in them, they feel less helpless and unhappiness is mitigated. Prayer increases their courage, excites in them the desire to rise through repentance and reparation, and can keep them away from the idea of evil. In this sense, it can not only alleviate their suffering but also abbreviate it.

15- Praying is to manifest with our words or thoughts what we are feeling at the time, so be it anger, despair, helplessness, joy, gratitude. Recite, however, is to repeat like parrots the phrases written by others and often without feeling. Pray each one according to his beliefs and the way that sees is more convenient. Whoever prays with faith (with conviction) is stronger against evil temptations, and God (the Universe, Light, etc.) sends the good spirits to help him.

The essential thing is not to pray a lot, but to pray well. Some people believe that all the merit is in the size of the prayer or the number of times it is repeated, while closing their eyes to their own defects. Prayer is for them an occupation, a habit, a pastime, not an examination of conscience. Who asks for forgiveness of his faults gets it easier if he changes his behavior. Good actions are the best prayers, because actions speak louder than words.

16- We must avoid letting ourselves be dominated by the auto-suggestion, fear or fanaticism, to the point of seeing the manifestation of a Spirit in the sudden crackle of furniture, an appearance in whatever shadow, or a communication from beyond the grave in a simple unconscious association of ideas. Fear does not distinguish between imaginary and real.

The superior of the monastery had as a routine a daily meditation with his disciples. One day he was given a cat as a gift, but when they were all in meditation, the cat started pacing around the oratory, purring and rubbing the legs of the disciples, disrupting the silence of the occasion. Therefore, before starting meditation the next day, the superior ordered to tie up the cat to a tree to prevent him from disturbing again. And at the end of the prayer, he requested someone to go untie the cat. And so he did every day.

And with this same routine, he continued who was succeeded in office superior elder: meditation before ordered to tie the cat, and after finishing would send to release him. And so the years passed until the cat grew old and died. And as the new disciples did not know the story of the cat in the monastery, they suspended daily meditation until they could get another similar cat, in order to fulfill the rite.

Have you thought about how many cats there are in your beliefs? Candles, oils, superstitions, specific ornaments for this or that ceremony, kneel or stand at one point, making the sign of the cross (Roman element of torture that made Jesus suffer so much and, therefore, has nothing sacred). Do not give more importance to the rites form than to the real meaning of prayer to your God. If you light your faith to pray to your God, you will not need to light candles of wax or to talk to plaster or wood images. Arguing that something is true because it comes from tradition, it is as absurd as to suppose that a lie becomes truth over time, or when there are many people who believe it and repeat it.

A building is not made all of a sudden, nor is it the result of a messy pile of sand, cement, iron, wood, pipes and electrical installations. Brick by brick is constructed by following a plans drawn by the architect who designed in advance all the details of the work. Similarly, we assume that the evolution of species is not something messy or a hazard product. They start in a very primitive and simple way to form increasingly complex molecules, following an order that could be attributed to the atom’s energy, the universe energy, a cosmic plan of God, the Great Architect, or whatever you want to call the Principle of all.

Even though some doctrines are preaching the metempsychosis, according to which the souls transmigrate after death to other bodies of animals (more or less perfect, according to them), according to the merits achieved in the previous existence, in regressions we only remember experiences where we had human bodies.

When we are taking a test or exam, we receive a questionnaire with a number of questions to answer yes or no, carrying out the method to solve a word problem, or choose an option. Obviously the teacher has not written there what everyone must answer, as this will be according to what each one has studied and learned. During these tests, mission, learning opportunity or punishment, we can decide our destiny, correct mistakes and even imitate what others have done. There are even those who leave the classroom without finishing the examination, making use of their free will (such students can be compared to suicidal in the trials of life).

Fortunetellers and false spiritualists who deceive naive people and take advantage of their ignorance to charge for prayers or alleged powers, are abundant, as well as priests and pastors who devour widows houses, making long prayers, forgetting to give for free what they have received as a present, but we must avoid making judgments saying that everyone is like that. Although there are those who sell wine diluted with water, it is not to conclude that pure wine does not exist. From the words of Jesus: "For the fruit the tree is known", we can recognize false prophets. Observe if he preaches what he lives, or lives from what he preaches. If he spends the tithes of the worshippers to show off fine clothes and jewels, or if he is humble and simple, as Jesus and Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) gave us example.

No object influences luck or spirits. The power is in the suggestion, in what one believes they can do. Do not let yourself be manipulated by fear or superstition. Heaven and hell do not exist, they are not places: they are metaphors to represent states of the soul, ecstasy or deep depression.

If you are fully confident that death ends all, then do what you are thinking about. But if you look at the perfection of a single butterfly, such as the sensitivity of its wings and symmetrical drawings, or the amount of rock floating in the cosmos, and if you are one of the very few in that immensity that has life, is because you must be something important in the universe. Wait a little longer, until the storm of your emotions has passed.

If you do not find someone who gives meaning to your life, at least think of the one for whom you are his sense of life. You will find that your life does have meaning. Do not suffer much for the 10% you're missing. Rejoice for the 90% you already have. Do not be like the person who complained for the small defect almost imperceptible that the rug had, instead of enjoying the rest of its diaphanous extension. Be happy for what does not hurt you, be happy for what you do not need. It is not richer who has the most, but who the least needs.

If you think that all is lost, you may be wrong. When a fire destroys the forest, only ashes and half-burned trees remain, but after some days we can see the green shoots reemerge as showing that it is possible to rise from the greatest calamity. If you are going through an economic downturn, have suffered an accident that limited you physically, or you have been diagnosed with an incurable disease, let go the past and face the present as a new stage of your life. However much you fall, you do not pass from the ground.

Helen Keller was born deaf and she became blind at 19 months of age, but she overcame that and succeed as a writer and speaker, which led her to be among the 50 most famous in the United States. Blas de Lezo defended Cartagena from pirate attacks despite he was missing a leg, an arm and one eye. Stephen Hawkins, even though he cannot speak or walk, he is the current greatest genius in astronomy.
Patricia Restrepo died on June 29, 1997 at 19 years of age due to a tumor on her spine. She was 16 when the disease was detected, which caused her great pain, leaving her blind little by little and without movement of legs and arms, completely reduced to a bed. Phlegm from simple flu was a torment for her, since she had no strength to cough. In addition, about four months before her death, her father was killed, with whom 8 days before I had conversation about accepting with resignation the illness of his daughter as a means of spiritual growth for all.

She lived full of joy and optimism. Her last words may help you understand that you have values, and that you can achieve the goal of your ideals, if you put your mind on it. She said: Do not weep for me; weep for the bad people for I have been a good one; weep with joy for I'm going to rest. Do not suffer, struggle, life is beautiful I suffered during these three years, but I already had suffered since I was born. And thus all suffer since they were born, but God makes us live a life according to the way we have live it… I learned from it and I knew how to handle it. I know that I was suffering, that I cried and that I got desperate, but God was always there; he always made me overcome everything I had, and I had faith and never disowned God.

I walked, sang, moved my hands, looked, talked, I could dance, laugh, enjoy, mourn, and dream. I lost a lot of that, but never did I lose the spirit. With it I could walk, see, move my hands, sing and do everything I could not do physically.

Thank God. Thanks for all the good, because it never was something bad. I thank you from my heart; I only say to you on my farewell: Life is one word: God!

Watch your thoughts, for they are transmitted telepathically and are also transformed into emotions. Your emotions lead you to say words and those words become actions. Your actions become habits, and they shape your character. In response to emotions, the hypothalamus in the brain generates hormones that control the organs of your body and make you sick or be healed. You decide what to choose one or the other.

The mind can create nightmares so vivid that make us believe that we are awake, and it may happen that while awake we act as if we were asleep. Therefore, when are they real or imaginary placebos the past lives and the communications with aliens or dead people? I do not know! Actually, when it comes to heal, it is not necessary to know the chemical formula of a drug. If water calmed your thirst or saved your life in the desert, what difference does it make to find out if it was taken from a river, or from a pond of underground water or a bottle?

Things are to be found where they have been lost. Some people do not experience a past life regression, since their problems are rooted in cases of their current life, and it makes no sense to look for things where they have not been lost.

If the problem has a solution, why do you worry about?
And if the problem has no solution, what do you solve with your concern?
Do not dirty the water that you will drink.
And the water that you won´t drink, just let it run.
Hatred is like a poison that one ingests with the intention that other will
get sick, but he is kidding himself because it gets sick only the one who takes it.

Hypnosis should not be used as a diagnostic or replacement of clinical examinations. If a bricklayer cannot guarantee the quality of a work when the materials are supplied by the project owner, a therapist cannot guarantee or condition the collection of his fees to the outcome, since it is the patient who brings everything to the process (phobias, complexes, resentments, mental dispersion and analytical resistance).
Hypnosis therapy is not done to sleep the patient or heal diseases or inherent physical limitations of age or deterioration of the body. It is a psychological technique of assisted introspection, to help reprogram habits, fears, guilt and attitudes that affect the patient. There are patients who reach a deep trance within minutes, and there are those who only manage to reach something superficial, but enough to help them heal. The experience based on thousands of sessions since 1995 has shown that a session is usually sufficient to achieve good results in most cases. The session costs $ 250,000.00 Colombian pesos in Medellin (2015).
