[Grading Policy and Assessment Details]
I. Skill Learning Performance — 50% of Final Grade
Evaluation is based on two categories: "Technical Assessment" and "Competitive Performance."
Technical Assessment: This phase spans 2 to 3 weeks. Students must register voluntarily according to the instructor's schedule. Scoring is determined by both "frequency of participation" and "performance outcomes."
Competitive Performance: Divided into Preliminary and Final rounds (each lasting 3 to 5 weeks). Students are required to engage in "match play" and "event officiating" weekly. Scoring factors include "Team Ranking," "Individual Sportsmanship & Skill," and "Officiating Service." Any absence during these weeks will result in a score of 0 for that period.
II. Affective Learning Performance — 40% of Final Grade
Evaluation includes "Attendance," "Learning Attitude," and "Classroom Discipline & Self-Management."
Unexcused Absence (Truancy): Failure to complete the leave of absence process (except for menstrual leave, which requires no documentation) will be classified as truancy. All attendance points for the affected week will be forfeited.
Excused Absence: Students who complete the leave process (including sick, personal, menstrual, marriage, bereavement, or official leave) will have 75% of the attendance points for that week deducted.
Tardiness: Students arriving after the roll call must proactively report to the instructor after class to rectify their status. This results in a 50% deduction of the week's attendance points.
Early Departure: Leaving class early without a valid reason will result in the forfeiture of all attendance points for that week and additional deductions from the "Learning Attitude" score.
Improper Attire: Failure to wear appropriate athletic clothing or refusal to engage in learning activities will be treated as truancy (100% attendance deduction).
Passive Presence: Attending class but refusing to participate without prior consent will be treated as an absence; the student will not be marked as present.
