Keyboard

A stuck key on the keyboard will cause odd behavior. Turn the keyboard upside down and shake out any loose debris. You can clean out more debris between the keys with a paint brush. Next, press rapidly and firmly on both Ctrl keys, both Alt keys, both shift keys and the tab and 1 key. If this does not restore the keyboard to normal function, you can use the on-screen keyboard until you have time to replace the keyboard. If this is a laptop you can plug in a USB keyboard until your replacement keyboard arrives.
