In the interwebs I have found people who seem to be annoyed at those of use who discus race, ethnicity and identity.

Some say they are blind to color differences. Some say that having an ethnic label is the problem.

Human is the best label for us, but that would put all the sociologists, anthropologists, demographers and geneticists out of business. Our ethnic labels are okay when used to recognize and respect our differences. Sadly though, people will also use identity labels to categorize people for purposes of xenophobia, scapegoating, stereotyping and racism.
