Punta Cana, the Dominion Republic, January 12 to 21
The end of last year, we started planning a winter holiday with our friends, Rod and Cheryl Millar. We reserved a house in Tortuga Bay Resort. We invited our friends Marti and Lisa as well as Judy and Jan. Unfortunately, Rod fell and was hospitalized, so he and Cheryl were unable to join us. It was a wonderful house with a beautiful pool.

Australia and New Zealand, February 11 to March 12
Rod, Cheryl and we received an invitation to join on our friends on their incredible boat in South Australia for the last 2 weeks of February. However, Rod was not well enough for he and Cheryl to join us. We flew from Fort Lauderdale on 2/11 to Sydney, Australia via Houston arriving 2 days later due to the time change. We loved our 3 days in Sidney. Then we joined our friends on their boat on the South Australia coast. Click on the following for photos and more details. Pensacola Beach, May 25 to June 3
For the second year in a row we joined our friends Joe Possa, Chad Kenney-Possa and Joe's sister Annie at their wonderful Pensacola Beach house for Memorial Day weekend. It was nice get away from the cool mountains for some time in the warm sun. We were enjoying our stay when Tropical Storm Alberto threaten to crash our party. However, the storm's path passed to the east and we only had just one cloudy day as a result.
Joe and Chad’s visit, August 23 to 27
Joe and Chad visited us in Highlands to celebrate Chad’s birthday on the 25th. We introduced them to croquet and had a great time playing with them. We also had a fun time pontooning on Lake Glenville

Chester, NS October 6 - 13
Cheryl asked us to join her in Chester for Canadian Thanksgiving. We had spent so much time with her before the summer, we had really missed her. Our Thanksgiving dinner included lots of beets. It was a fun trip and we loved the opportunity to catch up.

Sarah and Shaun’s Wedding in Boston, November 9 to 12
We flew up to Boston for the wedding on Thursday. That night we joined Sarah, Shaun, Elyse (Sarah 's friend from childhood), Patrick and his friend Adrienne, and Beth N (Sarah’s mother) for pizza at Sarah and Shaun’s place. While there our task was to organize the flowers for the wedding. Sarah had decided to do the wedding flowers herself. Fortunately, Adrienne had had some flower arranging experience and saved the evening if not the wedding.
The rehearsal dinner was held at a Mediterranean restaurant of friends of Laura, Shaun’s mother. On the wedding day we had all hoped for an Indian summer day for the outdoor wedding, it was sunny but cold and windy. Although it seemed to take an eternity for the photography and wedding, no time was wasted, and we were back inside as quickly as possible. The dinner and dancing were fun, and everyone enjoyed the evening. Thanks to the music provided by a friend of Sarah and Shaun, the trolley ride back to the hotel literally rocked.
