2014 Highlights

At the last minute we decided to join Chad and Joe in New York City on Thursday, a day early, for their wedding weekend. Our flight arrival was a few minutes before theirs so we took the shuttle bus to the Delta terminal to meet them and begin the fun packed weekend. We shared their car service to the Peninsula Hotel. After checking in, we enjoyed lunch at the restaurant Robert on an upper floor of the Museum of Arts and Design overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park. It was a beautiful day and the view from our table was spectacular. After lunch we went back to the Hotel and enjoyed complementary champagne. For dinner we celebrated the upcoming wedding at Le Bernadin.

Friday evening the wedding weekend officially kicked off with a dinner cruise around Manhattan which never could look better than that evening with the beautiful weather. Everyone had a enjoyed the food and had a great time dancing.

On Saturday the guests were provided van service to the Conservatory Gardens in Central Park. The wedding took place on the Wisteria Pagoda overlooking the western end of the garden's lawn with its 12-foot high jet fountain. After the ceremony the guests were transported to the Peninsula Hotel for a dinner dance on the rooftop where there were much celebrating and a great time.

On Sunday Wedding guests enjoyed brunch at Tavern on the Green in Central Park and dinner at drag dinner theater Lips.

Also, Sarah was in New York at the same time and we were able to see her and meet her friend Shaun Clarke. We had lunch with them at Rockefeller Center on Friday and cocktails at the hotel rooftop bar on Sunday before the Lips dinner.
