It has been one week since the dazzling performances we heard at Brookdale last Sunday, Jan. 24th and I would just like to congratulate all of you once more on a fantastic Monster Concert! What a successful culmination of your hard work throughout the past months; I am sure I speak for everyone when I say how proud we all are of the many students, teachers, parents, and club members who devoted their time, talent, and energy to creating this wonderful event. Bravo!
This concert came together in an incredibly short amount of time, and I would like to thank all of the dedicated teachers who worked so hard to prepare their students for this performance. Congratulations! A particularly heartfelt thanks to Beth Chen, our wonderful conductor, who annually recreates an orchestra of pianos on the stage after just one day of rehearsal! And thank you so much to Lillian Livingston, whose narration enlivened our program with educational and interesting thoughts as we listened to the music!
This year truly demonstrated the difference that each individual makes when we all come together for a cause like the Monster Concert. Only month ago we thought that we would have to give up on this tradition. Well, here we are less than one year later, with two beautiful Monster Concerts performed in one day, thanks to all of you! Congratulations and thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality! It was a beautiful performance and you have much to be proud of! Bravo, and Encore!
