One week after our annual Monster Concert, the glittering sounds that we heard in the concert hall of Brookdale Community College still fill my ears and my memory. I would like to congratulate all of the students, teachers, and parents who joined us for this performance! It is always such a pleasure to come together for this beautiful tradition.
This year’s concerts were an incredible success, with tickets sold out for the first time in the program’s history. And what a remarkable program our audience enjoyed! I can still hear the echoes of the bells from the Coronation Scene of Boris Godounoff and the dance rhythms of Boogie for Two. It is only thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of all of you: teachers, students, parents, and club members! As always, a thank you - full of admiration goes to Beth Chen, our conductor, who never fails to achieve the impossible and bring together an orchestra of pianos in a matter of hours. And thank you as well to Alan Wasserman, whose charistmatic narration really brought the program together. Finally, this concert would not have been possible without Brookdale Community College and Freehold Music Center. Thank you, everyone!
As one of you mentioned, this might have been the best Monster Concert to date! On that uplifting note, let’s hope that the best is yet to come. Next year will be the 15th anniversary of this wonderful tradition, so we can look to the future with optimism as we prepare for even more exciting programs and performances!
